SlapPhone — Terms of Use

Important: By downloading, installing, or using the SlapPhone: Funny Sound Effects App mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. App Overview

SlapPhone is a mobile application that lets you trigger funny sound effects, meme reactions, and interactive audio using touch, motion, and device sensors. You can explore multiple sound packs, use features such as motion-based “slap” detection and Break Mode (focus timer), and customize your experience. SlapPhone offers both free access and premium subscription tiers with additional content and features.

2. Subscription Services

2.1 Available Subscriptions

SlapPhone offers the following auto-renewable subscription options (where available in your region):

  • Weekly subscription: $0.99 per week
  • Yearly subscription: $20.00 per year

Note: Prices may vary by location, currency, taxes, and platform, and are subject to change. Current pricing is displayed in the app and in your app store at the time of purchase.

2.2 Subscription Features

Premium subscription may include (subject to the version of the app you use):

  • Access to expanded or full sound libraries and packs
  • Ad-free or reduced-ad experience where applicable
  • Early access to new packs or features
  • Priority or enhanced customer support (where offered)

Exact benefits are described in-app at purchase.

2.3 Auto-Renewal Terms

Important subscription information:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Weekly subscriptions renew according to the weekly billing cycle; yearly subscriptions renew every 365 days (or as stated in your app store).
  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device’s account settings after purchase.

3. Payment and Billing

3.1 Payment Processing

All subscription payments are processed through your device’s app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Payment will be charged to your app store account upon confirmation of purchase.

3.2 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal where required by the platform, and you will be notified of material price changes in accordance with app store rules.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 How to Cancel

For iOS users:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find SlapPhone and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

For Android users:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Find SlapPhone and tap it
  4. Tap Cancel subscription

4.2 Cancellation Terms

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • You will continue to have access to subscription features until the end of the paid period.
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except as required by law or your app store’s policies.
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period (per store rules).

5. Refund Policy

All sales are final unless otherwise required by law or your app store. Refund requests must be made directly through your device’s app store:

  • iOS: Submit refund requests through Apple’s Report a Problem flow at reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Android: Request refunds through Google Play customer support

SlapPhone does not control app store refund policies and cannot guarantee refund approval.

6. Free Trial (If Applicable)

If a free trial is offered, you may be charged the full subscription price when the trial period ends unless you cancel before the trial expires. Free trials may be limited to one per user or per account, as stated in-app.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the app responsibly and only for lawful, appropriate purposes
  • Not use sounds or features to harass, threaten, harm, or deceive others
  • Use safe volume levels; prolonged exposure to loud audio may damage hearing
  • Not misuse motion or physical interaction with your device in a way that risks injury to yourself, others, or damage to property
  • Maintain the security of your device and app store account
  • Comply with these Terms and applicable laws
  • Not share or resell subscription access in violation of platform rules
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the app
  • Respect intellectual property rights in all app content

8. Content Usage and Restrictions

Important notice:

  • All app artwork, audio, UI design, branding, and related materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
  • Content is licensed for personal, non-commercial use in connection with the app only.
  • You may not extract, copy, redistribute, resell, or reuse sound libraries or visual assets outside the rights expressly granted by the app and app stores.

9. Age Requirements

SlapPhone may include content rated for older audiences (e.g., suggestive or loud audio in some packs). Users under 18 should obtain parental or guardian consent before subscribing. Users under 13 should use the app only with parental supervision, and parents should review content and volume settings.

10. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information, including app preferences and technical data.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to SlapPhone at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason permitted by law or platform policies.

12. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted in the app or on this page (and as required by law). Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlapPhone and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

  • Hearing discomfort or injury from loud or prolonged audio use
  • Distraction or misuse while driving, operating machinery, or in unsafe environments
  • Pranks or social use that lead to disputes, property damage, or personal injury
  • Data loss, bugs, or technical issues
  • Inaccurate or unexpected behavior of motion sensors or device features

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

SlapPhone is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That sounds or motion features will behave identically on all devices
  • Compatibility with all devices or operating systems
  • Permanent availability of any specific pack, sound, or feature

15. Technical Support

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence where applicable.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SlapPhone regarding use of the app, except as required by app store terms that also apply.
